Year End Thoughts

Well another year has come and gone. It has been quite a while since my last post, the reasons for the delay will become clearer as I post my thoughts and reflections on the past 12 months.

It seems that the last day of the year is an appropriate time to reflect, review and re-establish goals not [...]

Odds and Ends

As I have some time to relax this BC Day weekend I thought it would be a good opportunity to update my blog with a new post. Since I have a few different things to write about, Odds and Ends seemed an appropriate title.

Fed and watered…now time to sleep.

Well we are now fed and watered for the evening. It was a good pasta feed provided by Whole Foods in their parking lot across from the store. We arrived a bit before dinner was ready so we took the opportunity to browse their store and were amazed at the selection of good wholesome organic food [...]

Arrival

We just arrived in Seattle and checked into our room here at the Silver Cloud Inn. It was an uneventful drive on a gorgeous day. We crossed at the Aldergrove border crossing at 9:27 AM and there was a short line up to just a block north of 0 Ave. We were across the border in [...]

Time to rest

With the Seattle to Portland ride just a few days away, I have decided to take a couple of rest days before we head down to Seattle on Friday. I won’t even be commuting to work or doing any training other than stretches for the next couple of days. My experience from previous long cycling rides [...]
